Two ways to partner

Web developers & agencies

Who it's for: Web developers, designers and agencies who build and look after sites for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning and pressure washing businesses. Your clients want better leads from their site, and you're the one who adds things to it.

  • Add a ballpark estimator to your client's site as a hosted link, or embed it inline or as a popup with a copy-paste code snippet.
  • Your client sets their own prices and rules, and homeowners see a ballpark range before they call.
  • Your client owns their estimator and pays for their own plan. You earn the commission on it.

Embeds work once the estimator is published on an active plan.

Creators, coaches & consultants

Who it's for: Creators, coaches, consultants, newsletter writers and podcasters whose audience runs home-service businesses. You talk to owners about leads, pricing and growing a business.

  • Share your referral link in posts, emails and show notes.
  • Say your code in videos and podcasts, so signups still count when the link gets lost.
  • Disclose that you earn a commission, right in your content.

Full details, including what counts as a net paid invoice, are in the Partner Terms.

What you get

  • A referral link. Your link sets a 90-day cookie, and the first partner link a visitor used keeps the credit.
  • A referral code. For podcasts, videos and anywhere a link is hard to click. A signup with your code counts when no other partner's link is already on record. Clients type it in the optional partner code field when they sign up.
  • Partner materials. A short partner deck to help you explain Instant Ballpark, with a web-partner version and a creator version. Available on request once you're approved.
  • Trade pages you can point people to. Example estimators for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning and pressure washing at instantballpark.com/hvac, /plumbing, /electrical, /painting, /cleaning and /pressure-washing. Example prices only. Owners replace them with their own.

FAQ

Who can apply?

The program is open to US-based partners who are 18 or older. There are two partner types, and you pick one when you apply:

  • Web partners: web developers, designers and agencies who add Instant Ballpark to client websites.
  • Creator partners: creators, coaches, consultants, newsletter writers and podcasters who share a referral link or code with an audience of service-business owners.

We review every application by hand, and we may ask about your clients or your audience before we decide.

How am I credited: link or code?

Both count. Your link sets a 90-day cookie, and the first partner link a visitor used keeps the credit, as long as they sign up in that browser. Cookies can get lost, for example when someone taps your link inside TikTok, Instagram or YouTube and signs up later somewhere else. That's what your code is for: a signup with your code counts when no other partner's link is already on record. Clients type it in the optional partner code field when they sign up, and a code added after signup doesn't count. So if you mention us in a video or podcast, always say your code.

Does my code give people a discount?

No. Your code is for credit only and doesn't give the customer a discount. Please don't post it on coupon or deal sites.

Do I need to use Instant Ballpark myself?

No. You don't have to use it to recommend it. But if you don't use it in your own business, please don't say or suggest that you do, and don't share results or reviews that aren't your own.

Do I have to disclose that I earn a commission?

Yes. Disclose that you earn a commission, right in your content, in plain words, every time you recommend us. A note only in your bio or profile isn't enough. The Partner Terms spell out what that looks like for posts, videos, podcasts and emails.

What can I say about the product?

Describe it the way our site does. For example:

  • Homeowners answer a few questions and see a rough price range based on the business's own numbers.
  • The business gets the homeowner's contact details, plus photos when the homeowner adds them.
  • It's free to build and preview.
  • "$99/mo for our first 100 customers, locked in for as long as they stay subscribed."

Please don't call the range a quote, bid or final price, don't say it uses AI to set prices, and don't promise leads, jobs or revenue. The full list is in the Partner Terms.

Does my client need a paid plan for the embed?

Yes. Building and previewing are free, and embeds work once the estimator is published on an active plan. Each client owns their own estimator and pricing rules, and pays for their own subscription.

Who decides on my application?

Every application is reviewed by hand, and we'll email you our decision.

Know owners who'd want a ballpark estimate on their site?
